Inositol
Inositol is alternatively called vitamin B8, phytic acid, or inositol hexaphosphate (IP6), depending on its form. It is a naturally occurring substance in most cereal grains and seeds, appearing in conjunction with plant fiber. Physiologically, inositol plays a role in the function of cell membranes, of muscle and nerve tissue, and in the livers processing of fats.
